Stewardship
A Core Expression of our Faith
Stewardship is a core expression of our faith—an acknowledgment that all we have and all we are comes from God, and that we are entrusted with these gifts not for ourselves alone, but for the sake of the world. In Scripture, stewardship is not simply about money; it is about the offering of our whole lives—our time, our talents, and our resources—in response to God’s abundant generosity. It is a practice of gratitude, trust, and participation in God’s ongoing work of love, justice, and restoration.
At the same time, stewardship has a deeply practical dimension. The life and ministry of the church depend on the shared commitment of its people. When we make a financial pledge—even an estimate—it allows the church to plan responsibly, care for its ministries, and respond faithfully to the needs of the community. Knowing what resources we can count on helps us move from uncertainty to intention, from simply maintaining what is to discerning what God is calling us to become.
Stewardship, then, is not about obligation or pressure, but about relationship—our relationship with God and with one another. It is an invitation to live with open hands, to trust in God’s provision, and to take part in the work of building up the body of Christ in this place and beyond.
